Lake Katherine Sets $13K Fundraising Goal For Giving Tuesday
Lake Katherine Nature Center hopes to raise $13,000 to complete an outdoor education center for Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — Lake Katherine Nature Center in Palos Heights is asking for donations on Giving Tuesday to finish construction on a new outdoor educational structure that will inspire learning, connection, and discovery for the south suburban region.
The new structure will provide a dedicated outdoor space for environmental education, creating a hub where kids and adults alike can learn about the wonders of nature in an interactive, hands-on way. Imagine students gathering under this new shelter for classes on local wildlife, conservation, and sustainability.
The Palos Park Woman’s Club kick-started the campaign with a $6,500 donation. Lake Katherine is looking to match the donation and has set a $13,000 fundraising goal for Giving Tuesday to bring the structure to life.
