Burglary In The New Year
Police were called to a home in the 10400 block of Interlochen Drive for a reported burglary. The victim told officers he had been away and, when he returned home, the rear door was open. A Samsung 51-inch TV, a Playstation, two pairs of sunglasses, jewelry and other items were missing.

Palos Hills Woman Victim of Identity Theft
A victim of identity theft told police that someone had opened Kohl’s and Best Buy cards in her name and charged about $600 of merchandise. The victim lives on South 87th Avenue.

"Large" Amount of Marijuana Seized
Jose Jesus Valenzuela, 43, of Hickory Hills, was charged with possession of marijuana over 30 grams, according to a police report. Valenzuela was stopped at about 1:30 p.m., at which time police found a large amount of marijuana. He was turned over to the DEA, who conducted the investigation. Valenzuela appeared in court on Jan. 5.
