Tickets On Sale For Latin Grammy Winning Singer Nella Concert At Moraine Valley

Expressive Latin Grammy Award-winning singer Nella will perform Sunday, Oct. 11 at Moraine Valley Community College.

PALOS HILLS, IL — Expressive Latin Grammy Award-winning singer Nella will perform on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Moraine Valley Community College Fine and Performing Arts Center, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m.

A graduate of Berklee College of Music, this Venezuelan performer merges her national folkloric roots, modernity and Andalusian influence through her vocal stylings. Nella won the 2019 Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist due to her powerful voice, which helped her gain international fame. Her full-length debut album, “Voy (I Go),” earned praise from National Public Radio while her title track, “Me Llaman Nella (They Call Me Nella),” was named the 14th best song of 2019 by The New York Times.

Nella has sold out venues across the U.S., Mexico, Venezuela, Spain and the U.K. as well as performed with artists including Alejandro Sanz, Luis Enrique and Susana Baca. She has collaborated with Jennifer Lopez, Juan Luis Guerra, Carlos Vives, Monsieur Periné and Los Amigos Invisibles and performed a piece composed by Maestro Gustavo Dudamel, conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, for a documentary on artist Cruz Diez. Nella also performed songs written for the film “Everybody Knows,” starring Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz.

Nella signed with Sony Music Records in 2020 and released her second album, “Doce Margaritas,” in 2021. She also participated in the HBO album and special “Piano y Mujer.”

Her third album, “En Otra Vida,” immersed listeners in her creative concept, paying homage to Latin American music composers with new versions of classic songs. For more information on Nella, visit Nella Rojas.
