Meet Palos Patch's Two New Columnists

Here at Palos Patch I am always trying to keep things fresh. From the types of stories we cover, to how we go about covering them.

A major goal of this site is offering a forum for locals to voice their opinions and share their experiences. With the advent of our blogging section we are able to offer a place for local experts to share their opinions on a variety of topics.

Today I have the great pleasure of introducing two new contributors to the site. They each have filed their first stories and we will be seeing much more of them in the future.

Our new parenting columnist is . This Palos Park mom brings a unique perspective and a desire to share with you tips and stories from local parenting experts. Cassidy is the mother of triplet girls who will soon celebrate their first birthdays

In between her hectic schedule, she will be sharing her own experiences as a mom while offering unique suggestions on how to make life a little easier. From tips on thrift store shopping to the best spots in town for kids, Cassidy will keep you informed.

Patch’s other new columnist is probably a familiar face to many of you. is the video editor at Channel 4 in Palos Heights and a frequent on air personality. For the past few months Jordan has also been contributing to Patch as a .

His new column was inspired by his mission to get in shape before his upcoming wedding. Jordan will share his own experiences while visiting local experts in the Palos area. Each week his column will feature a video highlighting a uniquely Palos health resource.

I think both Jordan and Cassidy will bring fresh and unique perspectives that will serve to make Patch an even better resource in the community.

As the site quickly approaches its one-year anniversary I am struck by how much we have evolved in such a short time. I am also struck by how much more evolving there is to be done. I truly believe we are only just beginning to approach our potential and I look forward to making Patch an even stronger voice in the Palos area.
