Meet the New Team Running Palos Patch

We're evolving with Patch, and that means some reorganizing. But with that, you'll still see familiar faces and names on the site.

Meet the new team that will run the Patch network serving the Southland Patch communities.  We'll still bring you coverage of what's going on in town and continue to be the place where you can share conversation, photos, events and more with the community.

But instead of just one editor, you’ll have a team of professionals, including Local Editor Ben Feldheim, Police Editor Nick Swedberg and Community Editor Ryan Fitzpatrick.

For Palos news tips and additional questions, contact Local Editor Ben Feldheim by email or phone at 708.288.3267.

Personal Note from Local Editor Ben Feldheim

For those of you who've read Orland Park Patch, I'm the guy in the fedora at the top of the screen. I don't usually wear that hat out, because it tends to blow away.

Nick Swedberg will still be on hand for police-related stories, but consider me your go-to person for information about Palos government, schools, features and events. While I'll also still be covering the same topics in Orland, I look forward to getting to know the neighbors to the north and east as well.

As Community Editor Ryan Fitzpatrick put it, "rather than maintain a one-person juggling act, we're specializing our individual roles to help deliver a better, more consistent product to our readers."

With that in mind, don't hesitate to get in touch with me as I get to know the community. I can be reached at benjamin@patch.com and at 708-288-3267.
