PALOS HILLS, IL — Moraine Valley Community College will present “Carrie: The Musical” featuring a talented local cast for two weekends, Nov. 1 to Nov. 3, and Nov. 8 to Nov. 10 in the Fine and Performing Arts Center’s Dorothy Menker Theater, 9000 W, College Parkway, Palos Hills.

“Carrie” is based on Stephen King’s novel about a teenage outcast longing to fit in. In high school, she is mercilessly bullied by the popular crowd and invisible to almost everyone else. At home, she is dominated by her loving but cruelly controlling mother. What no one knows is Carrie discovered she possesses a special power and, if pushed too far, is not afraid to use it. This show contains adult content.

The production is presented by the Academic Theater Department. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 1 and Nov. 2, and Nov. 8 and Nov. 9, with 3 p.m. matinees Nov. 3 and Nov. 10.
