PALOS HILLS, IL — Moraine Valley Community College is waiving the placement test fee for all new students enrolling in the fall 2021 semester who complete testing after July 6. Placement tests are required for all degree-seeking students before registering for classes. Placement testing also may be required to satisfy specific course prerequisites.

Registration for the fall semester, which begins Aug. 23, currently is underway.

To get started, students first must apply to the college online. New students can check their Moraine Valley email for placement testing information and step-by-step instructions. ACT/SAT scores may exempt students from testing.

Placement testing is available on the main campus in Palos Hills, at the Education Center at Blue Island and the Southwest Education Center in Tinley Park, as well as online.
