When Are Trick Or Treating Hours In Palos Heights And Palos Hills?

PALOS — It’s almost time for Halloween, which this year falls on Friday, Oct. 31. Soon, kids will soon be combing the streets of Palos Heights and Palos Hills in search of candy. The City of Palos Heights has set hours for trick or treating from 5 to 8 p.m.

Palos Hills' trick or treat hours are from 3 to 7:30 p.m.

Palos Park has no set hours but leaves it up to parents and residents to decide when to call in their kids for the night.

Officials ask that residents turn on their front porch light if they plan to participate in handing out candy.

And, in case you want to go trick or treating in your cousins’ town, or hear of a neighborhood handing out full-sized candy bars, here are the hours for nearby communities:

  • Oak Lawn, 3 to 8 p.m.
  • Evergreen Park, 3:30 to 7 p.m.
  • Hometown, 2 to 7 p.m.
  • Alsip, 3 to 7 p.m. (new hours)
  • Crestwood, 4 to 7 p.m.
  • Palos Heights, 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Palos Hills, 3 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Burbank, 2 to 6 p.m.
  • Bridgeview, 3 to 7 p.m.
  • Chicago Ridge, 4 to 7 p.m.
  • Hickory Hills, 3 to 7 p.m.

Drivers are urged to be extra cautious, drive slowly and watch for costumed pedestrians.
