Palos Heights Man, Wall Memorial Founder Dies in Motorcycle Crash

Anthony "Tony" Cutrano, of Palos Heights died in a motorcycle crash in Grundy County.

Anthony "Tony" Cutrano, 52, of Palos Heights, died May 27 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash, according to the Morris Daily Herald

The crash occurred around 3 p.m. Sunday near Seneca, Ill. in Grundy County. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to reports.

Cutrano was the co-founder of Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run and organized the construction of the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial. The memorial, located in Marseilles, Ill., was dedicated in 2004 and honors servicemembers who were killed in global conflicts since 1979, according to the group's website.

The annual motorcycle run raises funds to mantain the memorial. This year's run will take place on June 16 and is expected to draw more than 10,000 participants, according to Sun-times Media

Cutrano is survived by his wife Linda, nee Reule; ; mother Trudy Reiter; and siblings Dawn (Larry) Kjeldsen, Trudy (Sam) Scola, Joe (Gaylena) and Sam.

Visitation will be held at Lack and Sons Funeral Home, 9236 S. Roberts Road in Hickory Hills, on Thursday, May 31 from 3 p.m. to 9.p.m. A service will be held on Friday, June 1 at noon at the funeral home.
