Palos Hills Police Blotter: Pot Possession, DUI and Guitar Thief

Palos Hills police report, Jan. 24 - 30.

MONDAY, JAN. 30

DUI on Roberts Road

Fred Ammerpohl, 53, of Palos Hills, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug equipment, possession of cannabis and driving without insurance. His car was swerving along Roberts Road and almost struck a curb, police said. He failed a field sobriety tests, police said. A clear bag filled with marijuana and a metal pipe were also found inside the car, police said.

Pot Possession

Daniel Michalik, 22, of Palos Heights, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment. He was stopped at 9:30 p.m. in the 8200 block of 111th Street for driving without tail lights, police said. Police found a baf of marijuana and a glass pipe, police said.

Bass Guitar Thief Caught

Michael Pass, 54, of Hickory Hills, was charged with felony retail theft. On Dec. 29 Pass a store located in the 7900 block of 103rd Street, police said. Detectives traced the crime to Pass, police said.
