PALOS PARK, IL – Walk through crunchy leaves and enjoy cozy fall vibes at the Village of Palos Park’s annual “Autumn in the Park Festival,” Friday, Sept. 19 and Saturday, Sept. 20. This beloved community tradition brings together neighbors, families, and visitors for two days of music, food, entertainment, and celebration on the beautiful Village Green, 8901 W. 123rd St., Palos Park.

The autumnal frolic offers something for everyone — from live music and artisan shopping to children’s activities and plenty of delicious food and drinks.

“We look forward to the Autumn in the Park Festival every year,” said Mayor Nicole Milovich-Walters of Palos Park. “It’s a chance for our community to come together, celebrate the season, and enjoy everything that makes Palos Park so special.”

Friday, September 19 Highlights:

  • 6 p.m. – Festival Grounds Open
  • 6 to –10:30 p.m. – Beer, Wine & Spirits Tent and Food Vendors
  • 6 to 10:30 p.m. – Sports Cave at the Gazebo
  • 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. – ARRA performs live, delivering a high-energy classic rock tribute on the Main Stage
  • 11 p.m. – Grounds Close

Saturday, September 20 Highlights:

  • 1 p.m. – Community Parade kicks off along the Parade Route
  • 1:30 p.m. – Festival Grounds Open
  • 2 to 5 p.m. – Kids Area open for children 10 & under
  • 2 to 10:30 p.m. – Beer, Wine & Spirits Tent, Food Vendors, and Sports Cave open
  • 2 to 5 p.m. – Community-Sponsored Kids Activities at the Tennis Court
  • 2 to 7 p.m. – Artisan Vendors open for shopping
  • 2:30 p.m. – Reta Wegele Beautification Award presentation at the Main Tent
  • 3 tp 6 p.m. – Whiskey Road brings rock and country favorites to the Main Stage
  • 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. – Mike and Joe Band perform modern rock hits to close out the night
  • 11 p.m. – Grounds close

Saturday Parade Information

Beginning at 1 p.m. (note the new time), the parade kicks off with floats, civic groups, fire and police vehicles, horses, dogs, walkers, riders and community for this wonderful tradition. The parade steps off at 82nd Avenue on 123rd Street in Palos Park and travels westbound to 90th Avenue ending near the festival grounds.
