Passenger Allegedly Found with Hydrocodone During Traffic Stop: Blotter

DUI Charges For Oak Lawn Man
James W. Miller, 54, of the 9100 block of South Moody Avenue, Oak Lawn, was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, driving without insurance and driving without a rear registration plate light, according to a report. Miller's car was stopped at about 3:40 a.m. near the intersection of Edgewood Road and 70th Avenue for an equipment violation. An investigation determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and could not provide proof of insurance. Miller also submitted to a breath test. He is due on June 17 in Bridgeview court.

Orland Park Man Faces DUI, Speeding Charges
Andrzej Kulesza, 52, of the 9000 block of Sheri Lane, Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, speeding and driving without insurance, according to a report. He was stopped at about 9:11 p.m. near 12900 S. Harlem Avenue for a moving violation. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. Kulesza is due on May 17 in Bridgeview court.

Possession Of Controlled Substance
Nicholas R. Jones, 20, of the 10500 block of South 83rd Avenue, Palos Hills, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a report. Jones was a passenger in a car stopped at about 1 a.m. near 12600 S. Harlem Ave. Police said he had hydrocodone and a marijuana pipe.
