How to Improve Your Palos Patch Experience

A look at some site features you might have missed.

With 2012 in full swing now is the perfect time to catch you up on some of the important developments around these parts and remind you of some site features you may not know about.

Let's Get Social

I know many of you are used to thinking of the site as an online newspaper. While we always try to bring you the most timely and informative stories about the Palos area, the site exists as something more.

On Patch you are able to post your own events, announcements and share information through our Local Voices blogging platform. We also have a comprehensive local business directory. All these features make Patch resemble something more like a virtual town square. If you are an expert on a particular area, are involved in a community group or even just have a bit of news to share this is the place to let everyone know about it.

I plan on reporting on some really interesting topics over the next few months that will hopefully give you a better understanding about the difficulties facing your town and the triumphs of its residents. At the same time, the site is ultimately yours and reflects the passion and involvement of its users.

If you have an idea for something that should be on Patch e-mail me at Daniell@patch.com. If you are unsure of how to go about submitting your own information reach out and I will be more than happy to walk you through it. It's easy, I promise.
