Portion of Palos Park Under Boil Order

About 385 Palos Park residents are being told to boil their water before drinking or cooking due to a water main break.. The affected area is the portion of the village west of Post Road, north of 131st Street, south of Ford Road and west of Will Cook Road.

The boil order is in effect until 4 p.m. Wednesday. The following is a release from the Water Department:

THE VILLAGE OF PALOS PARK PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT HAS ISSUED
A BOIL ORDER FOR RESIDENTS WEST OF POST ROAD, NORTH TO FORD ROAD, SOUTH TO 131ST STREET, INCLUDING RESIDENTS WEST OF WILL/COOK ROAD EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UNTIL 4 PM WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15, 2011

ALL WATER USED FOR COOKING AND DRINKING DURING THIS TIME SHOULD BE BOILED FOR A MINIMUM OF 5 MINUTES BEFORE USE OR CONSUMPTION.
