
Blanca Cruz, 28, of the 4700 block of South Kenneth in Chicago, was charged with resisting a peace officer, possession of cannabis and improper lane usage.
Cruz was stopped around 12:36 a.m. on July 3 after she was observed driving erratically, police said.
The officer asked Cruz to exit her car and she replied, "No, I just want to go home," police said. She then tried rolling up her window on the officer's arm and started the ignition of her vehicle.

When she attempted to put the car in gear, the officer was able to pull the key out of the ignition.
After police forced Cruz out of her car, a small plastic container of cannabis was discovered, police said.
