PALOS HILLS, IL — Santa will be taking time out of his busy schedule for a ride-along through Palos Hills, Sunday, Dec. 15, greeting kids from one to 92. Police will be escorting the Jolly Old Elf all over town from 3 to 4:30 p.m. He'll be bringing along some of his elves and the Grinch.
The ride-along started in 2020 as a safe way for kids to see Santa during the pandemic. It was such a success, that the city decided to make the ride-thru an annual tradition. This year, expect a few surprises along the route. Santa will be escorted by Palos Hills police and Mayor Jerry Bennett.
The city has released a detailed map of Santa's whirlwind tour through Palos Hills, that ends and starts at the public works building at 108th Street and Roberts Road.
Santa will be passing by all the hot spots along Roberts Road, 111th, 108th and 107th Streets, and 86th, 84th and 88th Avenues. He'll be going by all the parks, including Indian Woods, Aspen, Glacier Parks and Bennett Park, Moraine Valley Community College, the Riveria and through the Green Oaks Apartments and Scenic Tree Condos. Track his route on SantaTracker.
