SUV Crashes Through College Drive Office Building
An elderly woman drove her car into a Palos Heights office building leaving a six-by-six foot hole in the brick wall.
For the second time in less than a week a car has come crashing through a Palos Heights building.
A 73-year-old woman crashed her SUV into an office building at 7800 West College Drive, leaving a gaping hole in a brick wall measuring six feet across.
The accident occured at about 9:30 p.m. Monday night, but was not discovered until 7 a.m. Tuesday morning when an employee arrived for work, said Palos Heights Officer George Drikos.

The damage was to a suite occupied by Quest Diagnostics.
The woman turned into the parking lot after becoming disoriented and drove her car into the southwest corner of the building. She then drove into the Manor Care parking lot next door where her entire front bumper fell off, Drikos said.

Whe police received the call and found the bumper they were able to locate the local woman through her left behind bumper and license plate, police said. She showed no signs of physical injuries, but appeared to be slightly disoriented when officers spoke with her Tuesday morning, Drikos said.
She was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
The hole was not discovered until the next morning because it was obscured by darkness and tree cover, Drikos said.

Drikos said repond to incidents like these about once every other year, making the timing of these two crashes unusual.
