Swimming Pool Battery, Vehicle Break-Ins: Palos Park Police Blotter
A 38-year-old woman faces battery charges following an argument at a pool while Palos Park residents reported their cars being broken into.
PALOS HILLS, IL — An argument at a local swimming pool led to the arrest of a 38-year-old Palos Hills woman, who now faces battery charges, police said on Tuesday.
Krystal M. McCarthy was charged with battery following the incident, which took place at the pool on Sept. 5, police said. Police did not provide any further details about what led to the argument.

Police were called to the 10700 block of Doric Circle on Sunday after receiving reports of a theft from a motor vehicle. The resident said that the person left their vehicle unlocked on Sept. 9 and returned on Sept. 10 to find that a pair of Cole Haan shoes and a work uniform had been taken from the vehicle, police said.
Police said they are investigating another incident on the same block of Doric Circle in which a local resident said that they were awakened by the sound of their garage door being opened. The resident called 911 and the person’s Ring camera showed three men getting out of a vehicle in the home’s driveway and entering the resident’s car, which was unlocked, police said.

Police said that the men used the garage door opener, which was inside the vehicle to gain access to the garage. When they three men heard a dog barking, they took the garage door opener and a backpack from the vehicle and left the area. The incident remains under investigation.
