PARK RIDGE, IL — Two arrests have been made following an investigation into an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven last month. Park Ridge police said two 16-year-old males were arrested Monday and detained at the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center pending a formal juvenile court petition hearing.

At around 8:02 p.m. Aug. 5, police responded to a hold-up alarm at the 7-Eleven gas station at 814 Higgins Road. A store employee told police that the two juveniles had entered the gas station and proceeded to walk around the counter, where they sprayed the clerk with a chemical agent, believed to be mace.

In Patch's original report, police had said the two were dressed as females, but that detail is not included in an update released Friday.
