Bicyclist, 30, Dead After Thursday Night Crash: Police
Police said the bicyclist was riding on Northwest Highway near Touhy Avenue when he was struck by a Dodge Charger.

PARK RIDGE, IL — A 30-year-old bicyclist is dead after he was struck by a car Thursday night on Northwest Highway, police said.
The bicyclist, later identified as Timothy Hackett, was biking northbound on Northwest Highway near Touhy Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. when he was hit by a Dodge Charger.
Officials said the driver of the Charger was headed eastbound on Touhy Avenue and remained on the scene after the incident. Police said the driver, who has not been named, has been cooperative.

Hackett was pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to authorities.
The crash remains under investigation by Park Ridge police and the Major Case Assistance Team's Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team.
