Blessing Ceremony Scheduled for New Presence Resurrection Rehab Center

Presence Sister Bonaventure Rehabilitation Center in Park Ridge will be blessed on Feb. 22.

 

Presence Resurrection Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly known as Resurrection Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 1001 North Greenwood Avenue, Park Ridge, will hold a blessing ceremony for its new Presence Sister Bonaventure Rehabilitation Center on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at 2 p.m. The Most Reverend Francis J. Kane, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago, will officiate.

The new Presence Sister Bonaventure Rehabilitation Center, which occupies much of the first floor of Presence Resurrection Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, is named for Sister Bonaventure Kusek, C.R., one of the founders of the Resurrection Health Care system. The state-of-the-art transitional care facility will make short-term rehabilitation more beneficial than ever.

“We planned this new addition to better serve the needs of the community,” said James Farlee, Administrator of Presence Resurrection Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. “Patients will arrive at a new, welcoming entrance under a protective canopy. They will enjoy 19 newly-remodeled patient rooms; a new Rehabilitation Gym; patient, family and physician lounges; a Spa and Bistro; a newsstand; 24 hour concierge service, and a secure outdoor private Serenity Garden and Walking Path.”

Presence Resurrection Nursing and Rehabilitation Center provides rapid, intensive rehabilitation that allows patients who have had hip or knee replacements, or other types of surgery, to return home and get back to work as quickly – and safely – as possible.

“The new Presence Sister Bonaventure rehabilitation wing is just one more tool that helps us provide rehabilitation to the ever-increasing number of people who need short-term care, so they can more quickly return home and to their other normal daily activities,” Farlee explained.
