Board and Commissions Ban Considered for Some Park Ridge Residents

Park Ridge residents who are also city employees could soon be banned from serving on some boards and commissions, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The issue was brought up this week after a resident suggested it could be a conflict of interest. Aldermen will investigate the issue further and discuss a possible ban at the next committee of the whole meeting. Mayor David Schmidt said a ban encompassing all boards and commissions would be too much and said, “Let’s think this through a little bit,” the newspaper reported.
