Decorating Cookies in Park Ridge

It’s a family affair at Mrs. A’s Cupcakes and Cookies in Park Ridge. Leslie and Maridel Anama operate the small bakery with their children Migz Anama, 29, and Kylie Anama, 26.

Patch stopped by the bakery recently to find out about their Irish soda bread, Bailey’s Irish cream cookies and other treats.

The Anamas make a wide variety of baked goods. On the day we visited, Maridel, known as Mrs. A to her customers, showed us some special cupcakes with Filipino-inspired flavors, including purple yam cupcakes and Buko Pandan cupcakes.

Mrs. A’s Cupcakes and Cookies produces a smiley face cookie, which they modify based on the season. Leslie showed his cookie decorating aptitude in this short video.
