Electronics Recycling & Document Shredding

The event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 15.

Go green and join the Electronics Recycling & Document Shredding event on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to noon. Electronic and textile recycling will take place at the Park Ridge Public Works at 400 Busse Highway. The document destruction event will take place at Avenues for Independence at 515 Busse Highway.

Items that are not accepted include hazardous waste, refrigerators, car/acid filled batteries, air conditioners, light bulbs, washing machines, dryers, fans, stoves, plastic bags, binders, school materials or business materials will not be accepted. Paper clips and staples do not need to be removed for the document shredding.

The Electronics and Document Destruction component of this recycling event are sponsored by the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC), City of Park Ridge, and the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce. A $5 donation fee is requested, for which residents will receive a $5 coupon to use at select businesses on purchases of $20.
