Green Rose Dispensary Opening Celebration, Harwood Heights Aug. 31

Harwood Heights, Ill. (August 29, 2024) - Green Rose, www.greenroseil.com, is hosting grand opening festivities at its new cannabis dispensary in Harwood Heights Saturday August 31st from 11 am to 7 pm. The dispensary located at 4660 N. Harlem Avenue opened on August 10th. The grand opening celebration begins with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30 am with Harwood Heights Mayor Arlene Jezierny and other government officials. Festivities include live music, pop ups, giveaways, food trucks, a puff bus and loads of discounted product deals to celebrate the opening of Green Rose’s third Chicago area dispensary and first cannabis dispensary ever in Harwood Heights.

“It is going to be a good time. We have had a great few first weeks in Harwood Heights and now it’s time to celebrate. We love bringing the Green Rose elevated cannabis experience to Harwood Heights and the northwest suburbs with our designer décor, trademark green rose wallpaper, friendly and experienced budtenders and a vast array of products from the top producers in the world and discounted prices,” said Ross Morreale of Green Rose.

Green Rose is independently owned and operated. Unlike the large multi-state operators who own most of the dispensaries in the Chicago suburbs, Green Rose does not have its own wholesale products to promote and sell. That gives it the freedom to sell a wider and better variety of products and more flexibility on pricing which benefits consumers. Green Rose uses the symbolism of the rose to soften the stigma around cannabis and creates an environment that embodies the beauty of the cannabis plant where everyone feels comfortable and welcome.

Green Rose opened its flagship store in Chicago in the River North neighborhood in November of 2022 after becoming the first social equity dispensary in Illinois to pass state inspection. Green Rose opened its second dispensary in Lincolnwood in January of this year. The Harwood Heights dispensary is open seven days a week from 9 am-10 pm and has free parking for customers. Located in a former bank building, it also has a drive thru window and is set up to become the first dispensary in Illinois to offer drive thru service if the state changes the law to allow it.
