Lions Micro Marathon Supports Have Dreams

Not a typo; .262 event!

The Park Ridge Lions Club hosted its third "Micro Marathon” on Saturday, June 17th.

While traditional marathons cover 26.2 miles, Lions Club member Matthew Coyne states β€œour Micro Marathon is a .262 mile event covering one square block in downtown Park Ridge. Our family friendly event started at 1:30 p.m. and ten minutes later, everyone was enjoying refreshments and snacks at the Harp and Fiddle.”

This year, 50 participants raised over $3,000 for Have Dreams, a local organization providing educational and other support services for individuals with autism.
