Napping Park Ridge Resident Wakes Up To 3 Burglars Who Flee: Police
Police are looking for the suspects who reportedly entered a home through an unlocked door and ran after the victim woke up and caught them.
PARK RIDGE, IL — A napping Park Ridge resident awoke to the sight of three people who had entered their home and who were in the process of burglarizing the property on Saturday before escaping, police said.
Park Ridge police are now asking for help in locating the three individuals whom police said entered the home with a crowbar. The incident took place at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday in the 1300 block of South Prospect Road.
Police said a neighbor saw the three suspects wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks run from the residence. The witness said that the three people then got into a gray SUV and flee from the scene.

Police spoke with the elderly resident who said that they awoke from their nap to find the three people in the home. The suspects ran when the resident walked in on them, police said. The victim told police they believed the burglars entered the home through the front door, which was unlocked, police said.
