Age 55, of Joliet, passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at home. She was born in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Jack and Lucy Wilhelme, residing in Joliet since 2017. Sharon received her Associate’s Degree from the College of DuPage. She worked with animal rescue for many years and thoroughly loved animals.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Simmons of Joliet; her sister, Debbie (Dave) Self of Park Ridge, IL; three nieces, Erin, Jessica and Amy; and one nephew, Tim.

Sharon is preceded by her parents; and sister, Susan Lee.
