Park Ridge Community Star: Michael Deverman

Information submitted by the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce.

Whether it's environmental restoration, working with homeless kids, senior citizens with Alzheimer's disease, or teen ministry, Michael Deverman is a solid and engaged citizen who gives back to his community.

A member of the Maine South National Honor Society and Vice President of the senior class, Michael is a yearbook photographer and newspaper production editor, Hawk Pride Facilitator, a member of V-Show Trunk, who also ran track and cross country.

Michael hopes to become a landscape architect and combined his interest in the environment and design creating a Wildlife/Butterfly Garden as part of his Boy Scout Eagle Leadership Service Project.  He has done volunteer work in Costa Rica and rebuilt homes in tornado-devastated Joplin, Missouri.
