Park Ridge Community Star: Peter Ryan

Peter N. Ryan, attorney, is a lifelong community volunteer whose hands-on service includes Food Pantry fundraising as a Maine Township Trustee; instituting blood drive, child safety ID programs and fundraising events as a four-time member and chairman of the mayor-appointed Park Ridge Health Commission; Red Cross/FEMA-certified teacher of Emergency Preparedness for residents and first responders; Boy Scout leadership at the Troop 50 and Northwest Suburban Council Blackhawk District levels; serving as girls’ soccer coach and chairman of Park Ridge Soccer; and volunteer with CERT (Citizens’ Emergency Response Team), Washington School Playmakers, National Night Out and many other programs. A local attorney, he also participates in Elder Law and Juvenile Law service programs.

The dinner honoring the Community Stars will be held at Rosewood Restaurant in Rosemont on Saturday, January 25. Tickets are $75 if purchased by year end and $85 in 2014. The Chamber is also accepting donations of gift certificates and other prizes for the raffle and silent auction at the dinner.
