Park Ridge Government More Transparent Than Before, Schmidt Says

In the first of three scheduled events with Park Ridge mayoral candidates Larry Ryles and David Schmidt, Schmidt focused on his support of transparency in government operation and changes in city staff.

Larry Ryles and Mayor David Schmidt spoke on a range of topics including the City of Park Ridge’s finances, economic development and their dedication to serving the community at the first of three scheduled public appearances by the mayoral candidates before the election on April 9.

Schmidt said he supported making Park Ridge government more transparent, and introduced new technology to increase accessibility to public meetings.

Ryles said he wanted to be a part of making Park Ridge the place where his children could call home, and raise their families. Click here for a short video of Ryles’ comments.
