Park Ridge Hydrant Flushing Begins This Week

Hydrant flushing in Park Ridge begins this week. Β
The cityβs fire department will flush about 100-150 hydrants per week through the end of August. Residents impacted by the hydrant flushing will be given notification by Code Red on Saturday mornings, the cityβs website reports.
Hydrants will be flushed between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to noon on Fridays. Water may be discolored during this process, but according to the city, it is not harmful to consume.Β
