Park Ridge Mayor Dave Schmidt has a strong lead over challenger Larry Ryles.
Updated, 8:33 p.m. on April 9:
Only 9 votes separate Marc Mazzuca and Vincent LaVecchia in the 6th ward.
Updated, 9:11 p.m. on April 9:
Mazzuca has now taken a 32 vote lead in the 6th with 5 of 6 precincts reporting. Roger Shubert has a big lead in the 4th Ward race.

In unofficial results it appears that Park Ridge Mayor David Schmidt has been re-elected.
Also, Marc Mazzuca appears to have held off a stiff challenge from Vincent LaVecchia in the 6th Ward. Roger Shubert won big in the 4th ward and Nicholas Milissis held a lead in the 2nd ward.

Roger Shubert, candidate for Fourth Ward Alderman in Park Ridge, attended David Schmidt's gathering at his campaign office on Prairie Avenue. It was Shubert's first time running for an elected office. He said one thing he learned in the process was, at the beginning, it was a little discouraging that so many residents were not aware with the most significant issues the city is facing. As the candidates traveled around the city, they informed those they spoke with about the issues, Shubert said. It was encouraging to see that people were more educated about the issues as a result of the process, he said.
