Senator Dan Kotowski's Gun Control Views Key in Illinois Gun Talks

Park Ridge/Des Plaines Senator Dan Kotowski could be a key lawmaker in the Illinois gun control debate, The Daily Herald reports.

Kotowski has always been a major advocate for gun control. The 28^th District Senator sponsored a bill to ban the possession of high-capacity gun magazines, which passed the Senate committee. His views are in line with Gov. Pat Quinn, who called for a ban on assault rifles and limitations on ammunition magazines in his State of the State address last week, the Herald reports. 

House Speaker Michael Madigan will hold two public hearings regarding Illinois gun control later this month, the Chicago Tribune reports.
