Here are the top three stories today in Peoria:

  1. Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has confirmed the identity of an Illinois River drowning victim to be 58-year-old Tamara D. Schaidle of Peoria. Schaidle's body was found floating along the river near the RiverPlex on Tuesday morning; her family had reported her missing the night prior. The incident remains under investigation; anyone with information is asked to contact Criminal Investigation Division Detective Scott Hulse (309-494-8391) or submit anonymous tips via Tip411 or Crime Stoppers. (25 News Now)
  2. Round1 Bowling and Amusement in Northwoods Mall is set to permanently close on May 21, according to employees. At this time, the general manager has not revealed the reason behind the decision or the number of employees who will be affected. The closure of the indoor entertainment center will leave Peoria residents without a nearby Round1 location, with the closest facility being over two hours away in Aurora. (CIProud.com)
  3. The Peoria Riverfront Museum is bringing the magic of Disney to Peoria this April with the Disney Film Festival. From Apr. 28-30, moviegoers can enjoy classic Disney films in the Giant Screen Theater and attend pre- and post-film talks with Disney historian J.B. Kaufman and Laurie Algar, daughter of famed Disney producer James Algar. The festival will feature a full schedule of beloved Disney films, including Bambi, Mickey Shorts, and Sleeping Beauty.
