Louie served in the United States Air Force and after being honorably discharged, he enrolled at Joliet Junior College obtaining an Associate’s Degree. He retired as a Counselor from Stateville Correctional Center after many years of service. While working at Stateville, he was on the Hostage Negotiation Team and assisted with creating procedures and protocols for Negotiation Teams. He also was an EMT and ambulance driver who worked tirelessly to aid the injured.
Louie loved to visit with people. He was a part of the Briick Meat Market family, so he never knew a stranger in Joliet. He was a past president of AFSCME Local Joliet and volunteered for many local political campaigns. He will be remembered for always having a story for every occasion and enjoyed listening to The Beatles.
