State Mitigations Will Not Affect Library

The library will remain open.

State-mandated restrictions for our region due to rising COVID-19 positivity rates return Wednesday, Nov. 4, but they will not impact services at Peoria Public Library’s five locations.

“We will continue to monitor all changes, but, for now, things remain status quo for us,” Peoria Public Library Executive Director Randall Yelverton. “We have followed state and local guidelines from the start to make sure we are doing our utmost to protect our patrons and staff. We continue to do so.”

“Providing access to our books, movies, music, as well as our specialty digital services, including live, online tutoring, is critical always, but especially now,” Yelverton added. “We will continue to be as accessible as we can be while being as safe as we can be. Always.”
