57 D202 Musicians Advance To ILMEA Festivals
Students from all four Plainfield high schools were selected to take part in the jazz, choir, band and orchestra festivals.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Fifty-seven musicians from Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 will participate in the Illinois Music Educators Association festivals in November.
The students, representing all four Plainfield high schools, were selected to take part in the District 9 jazz, choir, band and orchestra festivals. The senior jazz festival will take place Nov. 1 at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, while the senior concert festival will be held Nov. 8 at Dundee Crown High School in Carpentersville.
The musicians were selected to perform in the District 9 festivals based on a competitive audition. Prior to the concerts, students will rehearse with top musical instructors.
