76 D202 High School Musicians Will Perform In Honor Band Festival

PLAINFIELD, IL — Seventy-six musicians from Plainfield's four high schools were selected to perform in an honor band festival Feb. 18.

The annual Southwest Prairie Conference Honor Band Festival features two honor bands, one comprised of first-years and sophomores and the second of juniors and seniors. Students from 12 schools work with guest educators from the University of Illinois and Illinois State University for a day before performing in a festival in the evening.

This year, the festival will be held at Plainfield Central High School, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive. The performance, free to attend, will begin at 7 p.m.
