Man, 20, Killed By Train Identified
Plainfield Fire Chief Jon Stratton said firefighters responded to a call at noon about a body along the tracks near 111th Street.
PLAINFIELD, IL — A man who was fatally hit by a train Friday near 111th Street has been identified as a 20-year-old from Naperville.
Alexander E. Kearns was pronounced dead after being struck by a train at the railroad crossing on 111th Street near Cedar Road.
Plainfield Fire Chief Jon Stratton said firefighters responded to a call at noon reporting a body along the tracks near 111th Street and 111th and 1119th streets are currently closed.

Stratton said the Will County Coroner's Office is investigating the matter, along with the Canadian National Railway Police.
