College Credits: Plainfield Native Earns Master's In Library Science

Plainfield student graduates from Valdosta State University

Jessica Clanton, of Plainfield, has earned a Master of Library and Information Science from Valdosta State University.

More than 550 students completed their degree requirements at VSU during Summer Semester 2024.

UW-Whitewater student from Plainfield serving as student teacher

Ashlynn Miller from Plainfield, IL, who is studying Elementary Education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, is representing the university as a student teacher during the fall 2024 semester.

Miller, a student in UW-Whitewater's College of Education and Professional Studies, is serving as a student teacher in the Elementary & Middle program at Milton Middle School in the Milton school district through the middle of January 2025.

"Our students are highly sought after," said Fred Trotter, administrative director in UW-Whitewater's Office of Clinical Experiences. "School districts really appreciate the caliber of our graduates."

The Citadel spring 2024 dean’s list includes Plainfield student

William Morris of Plainfield, IL is among the more than 1,200 cadets and students recognized for their academic achievements at The Citadel during the spring 2024 semester.

The dean's list is a recognition given to cadets and students who are registered for 12 or more semester hours and whose grade point average is 3.20 or higher, with no grade of I (Incomplete) and no grade below C for work in a semester.

Cadets who are named to the dean's list receive a medal, which is worn on their uniform during the semester following their academic achievement. Non-cadet students on the dean's list are presented with a certificate.
