Plainfield native lands job at Netflix after graduating college

Riley Morris, of Plainfield, graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign in June with a cumulative GPA of 4.0. He received the prestigious Bronze Tablet award for academic achievement. His major in college was computer science.

He continued his strong academic record in college after also getting straight A's at Plainfield East High School. He starts his new Software Engineering job at Netflix in California in July.

Student from Plainfield qualifies for Samford University dean’s list

Samantha Horn of Plainfield, IL was among the 1,931 students named to Samford University's Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester.

To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. The Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

Belmont University dean’s list nod goes to Plainfield student

Amelia Perona (60586) was named among the students who qualified for Belmont University's spring 2024 Dean's List. Approximately 44 percent of the University's 7,338 undergraduate students qualified for the spring 2024 Dean's List.

Local student named to dean's list at Bob Jones University

Ethan Wood, a Senior Engineering major from Plainfield, was among approximately 740 Bob Jones University students named to the Spring 2024 Dean's List.

The Dean's List recognizes students who earn a 3.00-3.74 grade point average during the semester.

Plainfield student makes dean’s list at Pennsylvania Western University

Congratulations to Mia Listello of Plainfield on being named to Pennsylvania Western University Dean's List for the 2024 spring semester.

Over 3,100 Pennsylvania Western University students earned placement on the Dean's List. Degree-seeking undergraduate students who achieve high academic standards are identified in accordance with the following criteria:

The student must earn a minimum semester GPA of 3.40.

The student must earn a minimum of 12 graded credits during the semester, not including credits by proficiency examinations, incomplete grades, temporary grades (e.g., Not Reported), or satisfactory/unsatisfactory grades.
