PLAINFIELD, IL — A sedan driver fled a crash Thursday evening that caused a semi-tractor trailer to overturn on Route 30, according to a report from Shaw Local.

Route 30 was completely shut down in both directions between Route 59 and Renwick Road in both directions due to the truck blocking the road, Plainfield police wrote in a Facebook post around 7:40 p.m.

The truck driver was headed northwest on Route 30 when a black sedan attempted to pass him as he was beginning to merge into the left lane. The truck driver attempted to slow, but the sedan driver hit him and fled, according to Shaw Local.
