Fire Causes $10,000 In Damage To Plainfield Home

Oswego Fire units handled a fire Saturday that left $10,000 in damage to a Plainfield home in the 26000 block of Red Apple Road.

PLAINFIELD, IL—The Oswego Fire Protection District over the weekend responded to a report of a structure fire at a Plainfield home. At approximately 9:10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, Oswego Fire units dispatched to a residence in the 26000 block of Red Apple Road.

Authorities located a fire on the outside wall of an attached garage upon arrival.

Officials said the fire was extinguished within five minutes of the arrival of fire companies.

Everyone evacuated the residence before the arrival of the fire department, and no injuries were reported.

The fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature, authorities said. The home sustained approximately $10,000 in damage
