Fire Damages Lakewood Falls Home: Lockport Township

PLAINFIELD, IL — A townhome in Plainfield Township was left uninhabitable after a Saturday evening blaze, the Lockport Township Fire Protection District said.

Firefighters responded to the fire in the 14200 block of Napa Circle around 5:37 p.m. Saturday, finding a blaze on the second floor of the attached home.

Crews were able to get the fire under control quickly. The residents were home at the time of the fire but were uninjured, officials said.

Utilities to the home were disconnected and the house was left uninhabitable.

Lockport Township fire was assisted by the Romeoville and Plainfield fire departments at the scene.

The cause of the fire appears to be accidental but remains under investigation, officials said.
