Former Plainfield Police Explorers Donate Airsoft Guns To Program

Police Explorers is a hands-on program for 14- to 20-year-olds interested in a career in law enforcement.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Police in Plainfield thanked airsoft accessory company MC Kydex and former Plainfield Police Department Explorers Logan Kaminski and Chris Koziol for their donation of four airsoft guns and their related accessories to the Police Explorers program.

Airsoft guns are replica weapons that shoot plastic BBs instead of bullets.

"This donation will allow our explorers the unique opportunity to conduct realistic-based law enforcement use-of-force training," officials said in a post to Facebook Wednesday.
