Free COVID-19 Testing For Will Co. In Plainfield On Sunday: IDPH

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Illinois Department of Public Health will offer free COVID-19 testing for the people in Will County on Sunday. A mobile testing unit will be at Plainfield Central High School, 24120 Fort Beggs Drive, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Anyone can be tested at this site, regardless of symptoms or immigration status. There is no cost to get tested, but if someone wanting a test has insurance, they are asked to bring a card. Insurance is not required. Specimens will be collected using a simple nasal swab.
The Will County Health Department has also been offering free testing every week. The department holds walk-in testing at Trinity Services in New Lenox most Mondays and at Lewis University in Romeoville most Tuesdays.

There is also testing by appointment at Governor’s State University in University Park on Wednesdays and at the Sunny Hill TB Clinic in Joliet on Thursdays. Residents can call (815) 727-8670 to set up an appointment.
