Letter: Missed Relay? You Can Still Donate
Relay For Life of Plainfield is still $33,000 short in reaching goal to help in the fight against cancer.

Dear Editor:
On behalf of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Plainfield committee, I would like to say “Wow!”
Thanks to the community's support, Relay For Life of Plainfield had 40 teams participate, celebrated alongside more than 65 survivors and caregivers and watched as nearly 350 luminaries were lit to honor loved ones.

While the event was a great celebration of survivors, remembrance of those we have lost and an all-around success, we are still $33,000 short in reaching our goal to help in the fight against cancer. Fortunately, if you missed Relay, you can still play a part in helping others stay well, get well and fight back.
The money we raise through Relay enables the American Cancer Society to continue to lead the way in advancing cancer prevention by funding cancer research, programs to help the newly-diagnosed and services to cancer patients such as free brand new wigs and free rides to and from treatment.
