Middle School Special Olympics Teams To Join Pack The House Event
It'll be the first year middle school teams will participate in the basketball event at Plainfield South High School.
PLAINFIELD, IL — The annual Pack the House Special Olympics basketball event will take place Feb. 20, marking the first time middle school athletes will participate.
Special Olympics basketball teams from Plainfield North, South and East high schools will face off at 6:30 p.m. at Plainfield South, 7800 Caton Farm Road. The Special Olympics middle school basketball teams Red Cheetahs and Blue Cheetahs will scrimmage at 5:30 p.m.
The middle school teams are comprised of students from Aux Sable, Drauden Point, Heritage Grove, John F. Kennedy, and Ira Jones middle schools.

The halftime show will feature a performance from the Spirit Squad and recognition for senior high school students. The event will also have raffles and prizes to raise money for Special Olympics programs at Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202.
Doors to the event will open at 5 p.m., with admission being a suggested $5 donation.
