Plainfield Principal Takes Job With Glen Ellyn School District
The Glen Ellyn District 41 Board of Education approved the appointment of current Heritage Grove Principal Steve Diveley during its meeting Monday night.

Plainfield School District will lose an administrator to a nearby district next year, as Heritage Grove Principal Steve Diveley takes a new position at a Glen Ellyn junior high.
The Glen Ellyn School District 41 Board of Education approved the appointment of Steve Diveley during its meeting Monday night as the new principal of Hadley Junior High School. Diveley will replace Chris Dransoff, who is retiring at the end of the school year, according to District 41.
Diveley has been principal at Heritage Grove the last eight years. He also serves on the executive board of the Association of Illinois Middle Schools.

According to District 41, Diveley was chosen from a pool of 98 candidates to become principal of Hadley Junior High School. The selection process included input from parents, staff and students.
He began his education career in 1994 working as a history teacher at Waukegan High School, according to District 41. After two years in Waukegan, he moved to Richmond to work as a middle school geography and science teacher. He also taught geography in Deerfield at Shepherd Middle School.
